Planning your trip to The National Wallace Monument
Sunday 21st May
The first ever Stirling Marathon will take place on Sunday 21st May 2107. It promises to be a unique event which will see runners passing many of the city’s top landmarks and attractions, including The National Wallace Monument, Blair Drummond Safari Park, Doune Castle and Stirling Castle.
The National Wallace Monument is located just after the halfway mark on the mammoth 26 miles 385 yards run and we will be cheering on all the runners from the top of the Abbey Craig!
On Sunday 21st May 2017 The National Wallace Monument will be open as normal to visitors from 9:30am until
Visitors should be aware that there will be a number of road closures in and around Stirling due to the Marathon and anyone planning to visit the Monument should plan their route ahead of time. We would advise that visitors access The National Wallace Monument via the B998 Hillfoots Road (from the north-east).
