Live performances by costumed actors

- So what was it like to fight with Wallace? -

Hear the story of The Battle of Stirling Bridge from one of Wallace’s loyal followers - and imagine what it must have been like to fight alongside Scotland’s national hero.

PRESENTATIONS THROUGHOUT THE DAY - on Saturdays and Sundays, plus Wednesdays from April to September.

Easter 2013 - Presentations every day from 29th March to 1st April.

May Holidays 2013 - Presentations every day from 4th to 6th May, and from 25th to 27th May.

Archery Adventures

Join a Walk with Wallace

- Saturday 6th - Sunday 7th July 2013 -
- Saturday 3rd - Monday 5th August 2013 -

Follow in the footsteps of Sir William Wallace - and see how he led his army to victory. 45-minute guided walks with costumed actors on the Abbey Craig.

(First walk departs 11.00am; Last walk departs 3.00pm).

Encounter with Wallace

- Marking the anniversary of his execution in London on 23rd August 1305 -
- 16th - 26th August 2013 -

Costumed actors recreate episodes from Wallace’s life in three dramatic presentations.

FREEDOM - the thoughts of a warrior after The Battle of Stirling Bridge.

WILDERNESS - Dominican monk John Blair befriends Wallace.

FROM TRIUMPH TO TRAGEDY - Wallace comes face to face with King Edward I.

Presentations commence each day at 10.30am and at 2.00pm.

The Abbey Craig Big Dig

- Friday 6th - Saturday 7th September 2013 -

Your chance to work alongside archaeologists as they uncover the hidden secrets of the Abbey Craig and its ancient iron-age fort.

Tour with archaeologist guide departs from the front of the Monument at 12.00pm each day.

The Battle of Stirling Bridge Anniversary

- Wednesday 11th September 2013 -

Step back in time to 1297, and on the 716th anniversary of Wallace’s triumph at Stirling Bridge join Stirling’s Archaeologist Murray Cook on a guided walk of the battlefield; departing at 12.0pm from Legends Coffee House.

(Duration: 90 mins; finishing at Stirling Bridge).
