The National Wallace Monument shares the life and legacy of William Wallace with visitors from all around the world. Over the festive period visitors can enjoy beautiful winter views from the Crown, taste the warming winter specials in Legends Coffee House and enjoy special presentations from a medieval character providing further insight into Scotland’s National Hero.

General Winter Opening Hours

10:00am – 4:00pm

Last recommended admission 45 minutes before closing.

During the Winter period the opening of the Monument can be affected by adverse weather, and the building may also be closed to visitors on occasions to enable essential maintenance work to be undertaken. Start 2019 with a bang!

Look out for a fantastic simultaneous firework display from Stirling Castle and The National Wallace Monument at midnight. The perfect way to kick off The National Wallace Monument’s 150th Anniversary Year.

The National Wallace Monument will be open as normal from Wednesday 2nd January 2019. However, please note that on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th January The National Wallace Monument will be closed for maintenance.
