World Polio Day
On Thursday 24th October 2024, The National Wallace Monument will be lit up purple to mark World Polio Day.
World Polio Day is a time for the Rotary Club of Bridge of Allan and Dunblane, Rotary Club of Alloa, Rotary Club of Callander and West Perthshire, public health advocates, and all who want a world free from polio to come together, recognise the progress in the fight to end polio, and talk about the actions that need to be taken in order to end polio for good.
Lighting up iconic landmarks, such as Stirling’s National Wallace Monument, aims to raise awareness of the importance of polio vaccination and to celebrate the ongoing work being done to eradicate polio.
