Group Bookings
Each member of your group will carry home powerful memories of their time in Scotland – when they visit the Monument and discover the story of the famous Scottish warrior who became a National Hero.
Visiting the Monument
The Monument is a 220ft. stone-built tower, which stands on the summit of The Abbey Craig, a 310ft. high rocky outcrop, with commanding views towards the city of Stirling and surrounding landscape.
Car and coach parking is provided for visitors to the Monument. From this point, visitors can follow The Wallace Way (a waymarked trail) to reach the Monument itself. A courtesy shuttle bus service*, with limited capacity, is also available. (*Please be aware that the shuttle bus provided is a free complimentary service and is not part of the ticket price. There may be instances when the shuttle bus will not operate due to circumstances beyond our control).
There are three exhibition galleries within the Monument, and these are accessible (only) via a spiral staircase, with a total of 246 steps. This staircase also provides access to the Crown, at the top of the Monument. A group may be split into a smaller number depending on the size to make the staircase more manageable.
A visit to the Monument can take one and a half to two hours. This includes the time taken to walk from the car park to the Monument, but can vary depending on the size of the group. Most visitors spend around one hour exploring the exhibition galleries.
Facilities and services available at the entrance level include the Keeper’s Lodge (a small lounge area), one single occupancy toilet, and gift shop. For visitors who are unable to climb the staircase in the Monument, an introductory video presentation is provided in the Keeper’s Lodge.

Arrival at the Monument
A free shuttle bus service operates between the Car Park and the Monument or visitors can follow the woodcarving trail on the main path to reach the tower.
The 15 to 20 minute route ascends The Abbey Craig and takes visitors from the Car Park to the entrance of the Monument. Visitors should be aware that the pathway is steep and uneven in some areas.
Shuttle Bus Service
The complimentary shuttle bus, with limited capacity, departs every 15 minutes* from the Bus Stop in the Car Park, and the journey takes around 4 minutes to reach the tower.
*During busy periods, the wait time for the shuttle service can increase to 15 – 30 minutes. Walking to the Monument, on average, will take 10 to 15 minutes. The shuttle bus does not operate between 1:00pm – 1:30pm.

Reservation Information
To make a group booking (of 10 or more paying people), please complete the Group Booking Enquiry Form and a member of the Monument team will be in touch to confirm the reservation.
All bookings remain provisional until you have received confirmation and a payment has been made.
Payment must be made at least two weeks in advance of the booking date by Credit/Debit card. This can be completed by calling (01786) 472 140 during the Monument’s normal Opening Times. We are unable to invoice groups for any bookings being made. Once the payment has been accepted, the booking is non-refundable.

Group prices are subject to a 10% discount on our normal admission rate. To qualify for the discounted admission charge, groups must be made up of 10 or more paying people.
