The onsite management team will offer assistance and support throughout the planning stages and during the experience itself to ensure it is a success.
Your Experience
- Exclusive Hire: Explore the Monument after hours as we open the doors exclusively for your group to enjoy a special visit.
- Guided Tours: Visits to the Monument are self-guided, however an external Blue Badge guide can be arranged to join your group and take you on a personalised tour.
- Actor Performances: Learn more about the man who inspired a nation with a private performance by a costumed actor. An opportunity to interact with Scotland’s past in an immersive way, our actors bring to life the history of Sir William Wallace.
- Custom Lighting: Experience breath-taking views of Scotland’s historic heartland under the stars, as we illuminate the tower in a floodlighting colour of your choice.
- Whisky Tasting: Enjoy a whisky tasting experience inside one of the Monument’s exhibition galleries or on The Crown at the top of the tower. We will contact a local distillery of your choice and arrange this for you.
- Souvenir Guidebook: As a special touch, we can provide each guest with a beautifully designed souvenir guidebook for them to keep as a lasting memento of their experience.
- Catering: Catering options are also available to add to your experience. We can discuss menu options for canapés to be served in The Keeper’s Lodge on the ground-floor of the Monument.
- Drinks on Arrival: Begin your bespoke after hours experience with a welcome drink of your choice on arrival. Whether you prefer a sparkling toast or a dram of whisky, we can arrange this for you.
- Venue Dressing: Create the perfect setting for your experience by dressing the venue to suit the theme of your event. Including props such as braziers and a red carpet will add a special touch to an unforgettable evening.

Booking Information
- Bookings: All bookings are subject to availability of suppliers and operational requirements.
- Cost: The cost will vary depending on the experience requirements and suppliers. To recieve an estimate, please complete the Venue Hire Enquiry Form.
- Timings: The Monument is open to the public every day as a visitor attraction, and is therefore only available for bespoke experiences outside the normal Opening Times.
- Access: Each level of the Monument is accessed by a narrow spiral staircase with 246 steps to the top, and this must be kept in mind when planning your experience to ensure that it is suitable for all guests attending.
- Parking: The entrance to the main Car Park for the Monument is on Hillfoots Road. From that point a courtesy shuttle bus service is provided to transfer guests to the Monument. Guests can also choose to walk from the Car Park to the Monument.
