Lighting Up Teal for Tourette Scotland

On Saturday 7^th of June, the National Wallace Monument will change colour to teal to mark Tourette’s Awareness Day. This runs as part of the annual campaign, Tourette’s Awareness Month, held from May 15th to June 15th 2025, and led by Tourette Scotland.

Tourette Scotland aims to raise awareness and educate about the complexities of Tourette’s Syndrome (TS). TS is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by involuntary movements and sounds called tics, but can also involve a range of other challenges. The charity is dedicated to raising understanding and dispelling misconceptions, while providing support to those living with Tourette’s and their loved ones. They also offer awareness training to the public, families, carers, health and public services, schools, and workplace organisations.  

Tourette Scotland aims to provide regional peer support and outreach programmes for all to enable individuals to feel safe and inclusive in society.
