Booking Terms & Conditions
All tickets are non-refundable. However, in some circumstances tickets can be exchanged for an alternative date. Please contact us for further information.
On arrival at the Monument, you may be required to display your E-Ticket on a mobile device to a member of staff. A printed copy of your E-Ticket is not required. Please be aware that the Crown (at the top of the Monument) may be required to close at short notice due to high winds. Bookings will not be refunded or exchanged in the event of inclement weather.
Last admission to enter the Monument is one hour before closing.
General
- If you arrive after our last admission time, you will not be able gain entry the the Monument.
- The National Wallace Monument reserves the right to change opening hours, events or offers or to restrict access at any time without notice.
- Admission Tickets to The National Wallace Monument cannot be refunded or replaced after purchase. However, in some circumstances tickets can be exchanged for an alternative date.
- If you have pre-booked a specific time slot, please arrive promptly. If we are busy or fully booked, we cannot guarantee there will be space for you at alternative time throughout the day.
- We reserve the right in our sole discretion to refuse admission to The National Wallace Monument of any person if circumstances reasonably so require and our decision shall be final and binding. We also reserve the right to suspend or cut short a particular visit if circumstances reasonably so require.
- Drone filming is not permitted onsite without our prior consent and approval of the necessary insurance and license documents.
- All children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Dogs are welcome on The Abbey Craig, however we urge visitors to be cautious when walking dogs on the access road as a bus service from the Car Park to the Monument is in operation.
- Dogs are not permitted inside the Monument unless they are assistance dogs.
- The use of BBQs – disposable or otherwise – is not permitted on site.
- The National Wallace Monument will not be held liable for any loss or damage, of any sort, suffered by any Ticket holder and any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond the Monument’s control.
- The National Wallace Monument site is managed and operated by Stirling Council. Stirling Council aims to manage the risk of any persons (staff, volunteers, visitors, and contractors), contracting or spreading Covid-19 whilst visiting The Abbey Craig and The National Wallace Monument, and using the services provided on site.
E-Tickets
The following definitions will apply to E-ticket sales from The National Wallace Monument website:
- Child under 16: a person aged from 5 years old to 15 years old (inclusive).
- Adult: a person aged 16 years and above.
- Adult senior: a person aged 60 years or more.
- Carer: a person accompanying someone requiring special assistance.
- Blue Light Card: a person who shows valid Blue Light Card ID. Individual use only.
Once your online booking has been confirmed an order confirmation will be sent to the email address you specified. This will contain a link to allow you to download your E-tickets. If you do not receive the confirmation email, please check your spam or junk mail folders.
It is your responsibility to check prior to booking that the information you have supplied to us with regards to your E-ticket requirements is accurate. We are only responsible for issuing E-tickets in accordance with the information you provide.
To change the date, time slot or event for which an E-ticket has been booked you must contact us directly at least 24 hours in advance. Payments for E-tickets are non-refundable (except as set out in our Cancellation policy). E-tickets are valid only for the date, entry time and/or event stated upon them.
On arrival at the Monument, the following may be required in order to validate an E-ticket booked through the Monument website:
- Appropriate proof of entitlement to any discounted rate claimed for each person to be admitted with the e-ticket; and
- The display of your E-ticket on your mobile device.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
It may be necessary in some circumstances for the Monument to cancel your E-ticket. If we have to cancel an E-ticket you booked in advance (or to cancel a day of an event for which you have booked an Event Ticket), we will attempt to contact you to arrange an exchange or refund of your E-ticket.
This contact will be in the form of an email, so you are advised to check your email inbox before visiting the Monument to avoid an unnecessary journey should your E-ticket be cancelled. We also advise you to check the Monument website and social media channels for any updates before travelling. If an alternative visit date cannot be arranged, the Monument will then refund the full price paid, if any, for your E-ticket.
All refunds will be issued within 48 hours after the purchase date and time. This may take up to five working days to be returned to the original payment method. Online purchases cannot be refunded on-site.
Resale Policy
If an E-ticket is resold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone, then that E-ticket will be void. If you attempt to enter the Monument with an E-ticket that has been resold without The National Wallace Monument’s written consent, you may be refused entry to, or ejected from, the Monument and no compensation will be payable to you by us.
