Join Santa as he tells a tale of a little girl who was afraid of the dark, her brother who was desperate to ruin Christmas, and a gift they will never forget!
Can a little girl overcome some big fears to meet the Caretaker with a truly magical gift this Christmas….
This December, we’re delighted to bring back our ever so popular ‘Storytelling with Santa’, giving you and your family a unique festive experience and the opportunity to visit Santa at The National Wallace Monument in our Keeper’s Lodge.
As well as the chance to enjoy some Christmas tales and festive games, Storytelling with Santa also includes entry to visit the Monument where children can learn more about William Wallace as they explore the exhibition galleries and enjoy breathtaking views from The Crown. Just remember to wrap up warm for when you reach the top!
Tickets are £5 per person. The sessions have sold out previously so we recommend you book in advance as spaces are limited. Our Keeper’s Lodge is a small and intimate space so it can get cosy! (Seating is limited and adults may be required to stand).

The storytelling sessions will take place on;
- Saturday 6th December
- Sunday 7th December
- Saturday 13th December
- Sunday 14th December
- Saturday 20th December
- Sunday 21st December
The sessions are on each day at 11:00am, 11:35am, 12:10pm, 1:45pm, 2:20pm and 2:55pm.
In our sessions, Santa will greet the children and tell them a short story about the wonderful caretaker of The Monument. They children will all receive a small goodie bag and have an opportunity to take a photo with Santa. The full session will last around 20 minutes. You then have the rest of the day to explore The Monument with your ticket. Can you and your family climb all the way to the top like our caretaker did?
The sessions are recommended for children aged 2 – 11 years old. Under 2 years old do not require a ticket.
